Breaking News...........

D2 have been commissioned for a second Education project within the Cardiff area. A one and a half million pound scheme for amalgamation works to Glyn Coed Primary School. The works include multiple extensions together with extensive internal alterations. Works are due to start on site early in the Spring.

  Design work has now started on the Project at Glyn Coed Primary School. This fast track project is due to start on site the second week in March 2011 and has a Contract period of 39 weeks. D2 are working closely with Bay Associates (Consulting Engineers) to ensure that key information is available for a start on Phase 1, an Extension and Refurbishment providing Nursery and Reception Pupil accommodation.

Construction work on the first phase of this six phase project is now well under way. The superstructure of the Nursery Extension is almost complete with internal alterations having already started.

Following detailed discussions with the Planning Department, a re-submission of a previous application for four self contained apartments in Pencoed, Bridgend has been made.

A decision is due to be made early in March with construction sheduled to commence shortly after.

D2 have completed initial sketch proposals for a small project in Rhyd Y Fro, Pontardawe.

It is intended that a Detailed Planning Application is submitted within the next month with the intention of starting work on site in the Spring (2011)

D2 are extremely pleased to announce that they have secured a new commission for an extension and remodel of a Primary School in Cardiff. Work is due to start on site on the £800k scheme just before Christmas (2010). We have been commissioned by Bridgend based contractors, Jehu Project Services and look forward to hopefully furthering our working relationship with them.

Work has now started on site with Piling Operations being carried out ready for the reinforced ground beams.

The concrete floor slab is being laid for the new link extension. The Durisol Blockwork is being 'stacked out' ready for laying.The ground floor superstructure should be erected within a week.
